Countdown to #NHnextchapter

Assalamualaikum. And hey, it's been six month since the last update. Oh em gee.

Life is pretty amazing, I guess. ;)

I am busy tuning myself into the bridezilla mode, and preparing for the next chapter of my life. Somehow I just can't wait for it to be over, but I'm stuck between this-is-once-in-a-lifetime-kinda-preparation, so what the hell, just enjoy it, Niksu! But seriously, I am tired. So let's just get this done and over with.

Dear future husband, I have quite a long name so I wish you all the best. :P

Langkawi Squad 2k15.

Assalamualaikum and hi,

Alhamdulillah for another short and sweet escape, to Langkawi this time.

Day 1 - 1&2 October 2015

With my high school squad. LRT Taman Paramount to KL Sentral (RM2).

Had supper at McD KL Sentral (RM11.80) before our departure at 1am.

Took KTM Senandung Langkawi (RM53). Arriving Arau at 10am the next morning. Me being excited first time naik train dapat katil.

Araustraliaaaa! Dengan ini, semua negeri dalam Malaysia telah ku takluki.

Then took a cab from KTM Arau to Terminal Feri Kuala Perlis (RM26/cab).

We had breakfast near the ferry terminal. Had this roti telur and teh ais (RM3.60).

Ferry to Langkawi (RM18). Departed at 1.30pm. Arriving Langkawi at about 2.15pm.

Took our kereta sewa then straight heading to our hotel and check-in. Selepas membersihkan diri, we head out to explore Chenang! 

Chenang Beach

Ada rindu yang menjejak dalam jarak. Gituh. 

Had our dinner at Warung Janggus Ikan Bakar, Chenang. The tomyam campur is super delicious, with kailan ikan masin and telur dadar, white rice and drinks for 4 person - RM40. Cheap or notttt.

After dinner we walked around Chenang town and night market. Spent RM50 for shopping here. Had dessert at McD for RM3.90 and bought some snacks for RM8 :B

Day 2 - 3 October 2015

We took a Langkawi holiday package for RM150/pax. This covers for hotel for 2 nights, kereta sewa and island hopping to three islands; Pulau Dayang Bunting, Pulau Singa Besar and Pulau Beras Basah. Stayed at Lancons Hotel. Taknak cerita about the hotel sebab terlalu banyak ujian yang menimpa kami.

After all the island hopping fun we went back to hotel, mandi-manda bersihkan diri and headed to Langkawi SkyCab.

Entrance fee Sky Cab, Sky Dome and 3D Art Museum - RM47 with MyCard. Kalau hangpa ada I/C Kedah hangpa dapat diskaun lagi naa.

Marilah mem-bajet-kan diri di 3D Art Museum ini.

Confuse, jerebu or kabus

Tiada dalam gambar: pi beli ayaq minum haus sangat, ice lemon tea and 100 Plus pun harga RM6. Tak makan lunch pun, beli roti-roti alas perut RM15. Dinner at Selera Airport or something near Kuah, nasi goreng daging merah with teh ais for RM7.50.

Lepas tu kami pi Haji Ismail Group Mall di Kuah, nak pi borong chocolocate sat. 

Who says chocolate Langkawi murah? I spend RM219.30 here lols. Terpaksa beli extra bag (RM10) nak isi chocolate. Kah. Then continue jalan-jalan back at Chenang, shopping lagi for another RM33. Ha!


Day 3 - 4 October 2015

Last day; free and easy. Checked out from hotel. Cari breakfast on the way to Kuah. 2 bungkus nasi lemak with milo ais (RM3.80). Murah betui. Lepas tu jalan-jalan pi Rams and Langkawi Saga, jumpa chocolate lagi murah dari beli kat HIG. Lol sila menangis sekarang. And spent another RM20.30 for chocolates and some souvenirs. Lapiaq lagi, beli roti isi perut RM8. Haiyo lapiaq ja keja.

P/S: Siapa follow Instagram kita empat orang, memang mampuih la hangpa semua annoyed sebab kami banjirkan timeline hangpa dengan gambaq-gambaq squad kodi big moments kami, swag umpama budak-budak nak up. Hahaha. Maaf naa.

The trip is now almost over. Headed to Jetty Kuala Perlis via ferry (RM18). And cab from jetty back to KTM Arau (RM26/cab). Had KFC for lunch at Arau (RM6.80).

Jakun ETS laju wowowoo. ETS Arau - KL Sentral (RM76) 5 jam dah sampai.

Lapiaq lagi. RM6 untuk dua benda ni.

Kumpul duit berbulan-bulan, habis duit beberapa jam. Harus kumpul duit untuk misi dan percutian seterusnya. Vacay dengan family sudah, vacay dengan geng-geng sekolah sudah, vacay dengan kawan-kawan sudah, vacay dengan rakan sekerja sudah, mungkin lepas ni dah boleh vacay dengan husband pulak. Eh.

Short Notice.

Assalamualaikum and hi,

Yesterday marked the end of my first career, and I surprised everyone with my 24-hour resignation notice.

The past 3 years has been wonderful. I never thought I could be so close with colleagues, but in AmMT, the perception changed. Thank you for the amazing experience and awesome journey. Thank you for the valuable lessons. Thank you for the beautiful farewell, gifts and flowers, cards and wishes. Thank you for the friendship and memories.

I'll be carrying new responsibilities next week and I wish myself all the best.

Fana & Niksu Gone Wild.

Alhamdulillah for another vacation and this time #fananiksugonewild to Phuket, Thailand! Yippie! It was an impromptu plan (we planned 2 weeks before we took off!). We bought the deal via Expedia.com.my, and we went there during Thailand's new year a.k.a Songkran water festival.

Return Malaysia Airlines flight ticket Kuala Lumpur - Phuket + 3 days 2 nights stay at Belle Resort, Patong, cost us RM509. Cheap tak cheap I tell you!

Day 1 - 13 April 2015

We departed from KLIA at 5 in the morning. See the zombie faces. Haha. 

Arrived at Phuket International Airport an hour after. Time difference - Phuket awal satu jam. We arrived at about 5 in the morning. We took a taxi to our hotel, for 900 baht.

Expect a crazy taxi driver driving experience in Phuket. You have been warned!

We arrived at Belle Resort, Patong 45 minutes after. We can't do early check-in because all rooms were still full. Yelah, about 6 pagi kan. So we had a nap at the hotel lobby. Hahaha, backpacker sangat!

Agak-agak dah sunrise, we went to the Patong Beach, 3 minutes walk from our hotel. It was still early though, we didn't know what to do, shops were still closed. So we just bergolekan di tepi pantai yang indah. Tanning-tanning lah sikit.

Songkran deco? 

Since we were here on a Monday, jadi, apa itu Monday blues?

We went back to our hotel at about 11am, hoping that we could check-in but sadly no. Ended up chilling and waiting at the hotel lobby, of course lah sebab ada wifi! Texted Haziq yang kebetulan berada di sana bersama Pedoq. Maka kebosanan kami diselamatkan oleh mereka. Lulz.

First purchase, pistol air (250 baht) and waterproof phone casing (75 baht) 

Berjalan-jalan sekitar Bangla Road dan Patong sambil water fighting, main air, tembak air, dan menikmati keriangan kegembiraan basah-basah itu.

Naik tuk-tuk mencari makanan tengah hari, 250 baht. 

Had our lunch at Hawa Kitchen, and this nasi goreng seafood bersama teh ais yang sumpah sedap gila berharga 100 baht. 

Kemudian sambung suka ria main air. 

About 2pm we headed straight back to our hotel and berjaya check-in sebab masing-masing sudah busuk dan basah tak hengattt. FYI, I did not sleep for the past 24 hours prior my departure to Phuket, because I went hiking and I didn't have enough time to rest. So masa dapat katil ni I bantai tidur beberapa jam sebelum keluar balik waktu malam.

Belle Resort was okay. We were lucky to get such a good deal buying the promo online. Hi-speed wifi, TV, clean, nice comfy shower and bed, strategic location and very near to the beach and easy access to other places as well.  

And paling best hotel kasi protection ini (insert emoji gelak nangis + evil face)

Had dinner at San Sabai Restaurant, tom yam campur, kailan ikan masin and sotong goreng tepung bersama air minuman masing-masing berharga 930 baht (232.50 baht seorang).

Ni muka-muka lapar, sebab service kat restaurant ni boleh tahan slow. Okay prolly because ramai customer tapi memang slow. Rasa macam satu lauk 30 minit baru dia hantar. Haha.

We continued walking and splashing water that night. Before sleep, I had a thai massage for 200 baht at a nearby spa. It was my first thai massage experience so I am not sure whether dia urut tu memang sedap or what, but my body felt good the next morning. Yelah, badan penat hiking the day before plus badan penat travel kan.

Day 2 - 14 April 2015

Second day ni Songkran at Phuket habis dah. No more water fight and splash. What we did was just jalan-jalan, acah-acah tanning, cari souvenir and menikmati keindahan Phuket! 

I memang suka bila tengah selfie tiba-tiba mat-mat salleh datang photobomb. I memang suka sangat! :D

Belanja!

Brunch at The Bikini Beach Bar, lepak santai sambil menggunakan free wifi. Hehe. Two cans of ice peach tea = 160 baht. 

Nampak tak parasail itu? Nampak tak nampak tak? Kecewa sebab tak cukup duit nak parasail. Sila menangis sekarang. Adalah dalam 1200 baht. On another note, you can lepak santai-santai bawah payung-payung tu semua. Bayaran tak sure berapa baht. 

We continued jalan-jalan, cari souvenirs and stuffs.  

This is us with June. If you happen to visit Phuket, please la cari June ni. She's so friendly and lovely! Tapi I forgot kedai dia exactly belah mana. It's somewhere dekat market opposite the beach and kedai dia kat tengah-tengah. Please please. Recommended if you are searching for clothes dekat sini. Price boleh tahan murah. Nego baik-baik with June, guarantee puas hati. Total spending di sini 740 baht. Plus other souvenir items at other shops = 650 baht.  

Lepas tu Fana and I sambung pergi spa. Heheh. Fana had her manicure and pedicure, I had another foot massage for 180 baht. Sedap la, sebab kaki memang sudah sakit-sakit sendi urat otot akibat banyak berjalan.

Sebenarnya nak dijadikan cerita sedih, duit kitorang tak cukup bahahahahha. Bila sampai negara orang and tengok currency exchange kat sana, macam confuse sikit. Tapi thank you Fana life saver sebab ada Ringgit Malaysia and I top up sikit to get another 1000 baht. 

You will get to see this kinda stalls mostly everywhere in Phuket. So we tried the famous nutella + chocolate pancake for 80 baht.

Dah tak ada nak buat apa, jadi mari lepak di tepi pantai yang indah.

Sebenarnya frust juga sebab sunset petang tu tak berapa nak amazing sangat. Sunset macam biasa tengok dekat Port Dickson pun boleh. Hahaha.

Special thank you to Haziq and Pedoq sebab bawa kami jalan-jalan, suggest tempat menarik dan menjadi bodyguard. Thank you sebab bagi pinjam hotspot kerana kami miskin data hahahhaa.

Okay dah malam masa untuk dinner. We headed to Kusuma Seafood. Jauh perjalanan dari beach nak ke restaurant nih. Kaki dah tak larat...

I think Thailand serves the best teh ais ever. Even this one tak sesedap yang macam di Hawa Kitchen, but still sedap! This picture diambil sebab jakun ada bunga-bunga di tepi cawan (insert emoji gelak nangis + smirk face).

Cannot remember the exact menu we had that night. But the usual tom yam campur, padthai kot yang macam kerabu mangga tu, daging black pepper, and few other yang tak masuk gambar. Total dinner berharga 950 baht (237.50 baht each tapi thank you Haziq and Pedoq kitorang bayar 200 baht je each heheh).

We decided to watch live band that night. And yes, cari pasal dengan duit yang dah tak ada, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe. Bahahaha.

Interesting performance, chill out sambil guna wifi tapi wifi HRC agak mengecewakan :(

Terpaksa swipe credit card baahahahhahahahaha total makan dan minum 530 baht.


Day 3 - 15 April 2015

Our last day and couldn't jalan anymore because we had a morning flight. Check out from hotel at 7.30 in the morning. Booked a taxi the night before and taxi charge from hotel to airport 750 baht.

Goodbye Phuket, you will be missed and I will definitely come visit you again!

Thank you Fana sebab ajak I ke Phuket sempena Songkran ini. Next year boleh cuba pergi lagi atau pergi Bangkok or other places pulak hehehe. Thank you for the awesome time spent. Nanti kita pergi jalan-jalan lagi okay! :*

Things you need to know about Phuket: 

1. Waktu I pergi tu currency 100 baht = RM11.50. I tukar for 3500 baht je. 

2. Airport wifi was awesome! Cuma macam biasa kena sign up nanti dia bagi user and password.

3. The wild night life and party and drunk people. Hahaha. 

4. Cheap massages but other things were quite expensive.

5. Hard to find halal food but we were lucky to have Haziq and Pedoq. 

Okay sekian sahaja. Guess where I'll be going next?
